Wind Power
Wind Power is the energy obtained from the wind, which means the kinetic energy generated by a draught effect, which is transformed into other forms useful for human life.

Wind power is an abundant, renewable and clean resource which helps reducing greenhouse effect gas emissions by replacing power plants based on fossil fuels, making it a kind of green energy. However, the main drawback is its intermittency.
- It's a clean energy, producing no atmospheric emissions or polluting waste.
- It does not require combustion producing carbon dioxide (CO2), so it does not contribute to increase greenhouse effect or climate change.
- It can be installed in areas unsuitable for other purposes, such as in desert areas near the coast, dry and very steep slopes for cultivation.
- It can coexist with other land uses, such as grassland for cattle grazing or low crops such as wheat, corn, potatoes, beets, etc.
- It creates a high number of jobs in the assembly plants and installation areas.
- Quick Installation, between six months and one year.
- Possibility of building wind farms at sea, where the wind is stronger, more consistent and the social impact is lower , although installation and maintenance costs increase. Offshore parks are a reality in northern Europe countries, where wind generation is becoming a very important factor
